Paul Evans，上个世纪50～60年代的著名创作歌手，自小就在父母及姐妹的熏陶下对音乐（特别是弹奏吉他）结下不解之缘。他的许多作品都十分畅销，赢得众人不少口碑，比如《Seven Little Girls Sitting In The Back Seat》，《Midnight Special》，《Happy Go Lucky Me》等等。
1959年发布的这首单曲《Seven Little Girls Sitting In The Back Seat》，当时一推出就在UK Singles榜上居第3位，且在榜时间长达13周。在2003年发行的他的歌曲集《Happy Go Lucky Me: The Paul Evans Songbook》自然而然地也把这首他的名曲收录在内。
